5/22
This morning I took my father to one of his doctor's appointments. On the ride back I felt something catching at the back of my throat. Periodically, it settled in between my stomach and my heart. It is a heavy thing this feeling for my dad. I have yet to be able to catch a full glimpse of her. But there are moments of clarity, when I least expect it, when I have stopped seeking, she comes chiming through his tears- she glides by, dense, soaking in drops of dewy sadness. Glistening with tantalizing, silvery pearls.
