I especially like Avedon's fashion photography. There is something revelatory about it. The works I have shown here are not really a representative sample. They are the images that I find most beautifully composed. I first encountered Richard Avedon in my AP Art History class my junior year of highschool. I think the way that he creates a scene and makes us believe it is real is fascinating. He creates completely strange situations and makes them appear completely plausible and even desireable.
